Micromounts are mineral specimens usually viewed with magnification, such as a loupe or a stereo microscope. They are typically mounted in an acryllic display box (European size :internal dimensions: 25 x 25 x 20mm, or larger specimens in white based acryllic box : 29 x 35 x 28mm).
Individual crystals may be very small (less than 0.5mm).
Specimen size is indicated in millimetres. Crystal size, when indicated, is approximate.

PHOTOS & STUFF
Please note that all images are photomicrographs,( not microphotographs, which are just small photos !), taken through the microscope, at varying magnifications, using fibre-optic 'daylight filter' lighting. The field of view is usually between 5 to10mm. The area photographed is usually the main area of interest, (though it could just be the easiest bit to photograph !)
I apologise for the image quality - as some of the specimens are not easy to photograph ! I am sure those of you who have tried this, will appreciate what I mean :-)
Colour reproduction of specimens is pretty accurate, though may vary according to your monitor settings.

• I have thousands of micros - If you do not see it listed it may just mean I have not got around to photographing it yet. If you are looking for something in particular, I am always happy to hear from you. Just send me an email with your 'wants list' (USE EMAIL BUTTON IN TOOLBAR)
Enjoy browsing !

MINIMUM ORDER REQUIREMENT
• There is no minimum order (within the UK), however, it is more cost effective regarding postage, to put several micromounts on the same order. Minimum order for overseas customers is £10.00 (approximately US$20.00).
Micromounts are listed Geographically in Regional Galleries - please click on the button/links to view the specimens from that region.
